With all the commotion caused by the cat, i forgot to update you on my reading activities. On Thursday i finished BEL CANTO by Ann Pachett. I had been looking forward to reading this book for about two years, and i must say, with that much anticipation, it was a bit of a let down. Not to say that it was bad, or boring or anything like that. I just think i may have liked it better if i had only longed for it for about a year. The interesting thing about it is that it was nominated for the Orange Prize, the same prize that FINGERSMITH by Sarah Waters won. This is a prize that i am not terribly familiar with. I tend to follow the Booker, GG, Commonwealth, and Whitbread, but not the Orange. Perhaps i should start. The one thing that makes it sort of interesting and unique is that it is limited to women authors and judges.

Last night the Brain and i watched PARSLEY DAYS, another film by Andrea Dorfman of LOVE THAT BOY FAME. It definately felt like a first movie. LOVE THAT BOY was far superior.
